Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Blurring runs in your browser using JavaScript, so your files stay on your device. You can confirm this by opening your browser devtools Network tab while working — there are no upload requests.

Can I blur just part of the image, like a face?

Not with this tool — it softens the whole image evenly. Hiding one specific region needs a crop or a masking tool, which is a different kind of control than a global adjustment like this one.

Is a blurred face or licence plate actually unreadable, or just hard to see?

At Strong, detail is genuinely destroyed, not just visually softened — there is no way to reverse a Gaussian-style blur back into the original pixels. That said, don't rely on Light or Medium for anything you need to be irreversible; use Strong, and check the result at full size before you consider it hidden.

Does blurring reduce file size?

Often yes, since a blurred image compresses more easily than one with sharp detail — but that is a side effect. Use Compress Image if file size is the actual goal.

Is there a limit on how many files?
